How to set up a mock attack
- First, set up your full attack as if you were sending it this very second.
- Make sure to place all soldiers and tools in their slots.
- Also be sure to select the commander that you will be using for the attack as well, as different commanders vary in travel time.
- Take screen shots or write down your exact set up so that you can recreate it later.
- * Note, if you use different soldiers and tools in your actual attack, it will change your travel time and mess you up. This is why it is imperative that you set your attack up exactly as you will be sending it.
Now click to attack. This will take you to the travel planning for this specific attack.
- Here you may have 4 different options by which to travel on your attack: on foot, or by horse (each horse faster depending on the amount of rubies or coins you are willing to spend).
- The center box above the horses shows you exactly how long it will take you to travel to your victim's castle.
- It will take me 4 hours, 56 minutes and 29 seconds to get to my target.
- If my arrival time is 2 AM, I will need to count backwards to determine my launch time.
- 2:00 AM minus 4:56 will make my launch time 9:04 PM.
- An alternate way to determine your arrival time would be to follow the arrival time listed on this same page.
- Here I see that my current arrival time would be 12:55 AM.
- If I want to make it 2:00 AM, I will simply have to wait an hour and 5 minutes before I send my attack.
The shadow Attack Trick
Any time the traveling knights or the alchemist are in town, there is a special trick you can use to get pieces or ingredients fast and easy, and with literally no troops loss! You just use your shadow troops!!
Heres How it works
Shadow troops do not use your commanders to attack, so you can send, literally, as many attacks as you would like. They also have a default attack time of 1 hour and 20 minutes for an attack anywhere on the map! So you can send as many as you would like, wherever you would like. For this trick, you will be targeting RBC's of level 5 and level 6 (the game was updated to keep you from attacking levels 1-4) using shadow rogue soldiers.
You will send one (1) shadow rogue per level of RBC tower that you are attacking. For example, if you are attacking a level 5 RBC tower, you will send five (5) shadow rogues. You will win the battle with no troop loss... No tools needed! You can do this successfully up through level 6; Once you get to level 7, you may start to lose troops. I typically stop attacking the towers with this technique once they reach level 7 unless I have tools available.
Results
After your attacks arrive, you should begin to see many of these notifications pop up on your screen (depending on how many attacks you sent.
I sent 44 attacks on RBC towers, levels 1-6 and got these results:
I sent 44 attacks on RBC towers, levels 1-6 and got these results:
Before
After 44 simultaneous shadow attacks with 0 troop loss
It may not look like much, but the 44 attacks got me 3 pieces in only an hour and 20 minutes. Repeat this a few times, and you will complete the event in no time.

The alchemist event is the biggest producer from the shadow attack technique as you can see from the pictures above.

Best Method for Research
Some of you have been asking for the best order to conduct research in. The following pictures will show you the order in which I followed and would suggest for anyone else. In my opinion, the two most important things you can research are the Veteran troops and the three-field crop rotation. Both of these things will maximize your soldier's in strength and in number. Here is the path you will have to take to complete each of these researches:
Vet Troops
Three-field crop rotation
* I recommend researching the vet troops first. They will take several weeks for most of you to fully research unless you use rubies to speed up the process (which I do not suggest). After you have your vet troops, it will help tremendously to max out the three-field crop rotation. Keep in mind, this is my personal opinion. There is no right or wrong order to do research in.
